You may live in the area, have visited or volunteered at the secret garden over the last year. We would like to hear your opinions on the restoration work and evolving community plans in 2018 for the 2 acre walled garden. Please take 5 minutes if you can to fill in the survey questionnaire Granton Walled Garden – Community Survey
Our first season inside Granton’s lost castle garden has been an astonishing journey involving hundreds of volunteers and visitors since we first opened in May of 2017. If you have ever wondered why Granton Castle Walled Garden is so special please watch the short film created to raise awareness of the garden’s history and value to local people as part of the Edinburgh Shoreline project delivered by the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. Many thanks to Written in Film for their work in helping to document progress behind the high walls of this hidden oasis on the shore.
Special mention to John and Agnes Smith for their kindness and support in telling the story of this historic garden in the most unexpected of places on Granton’s waterfront.
